What mods do you have installed?

Are you logging in as admin to begin with or as a regular user?

It sounds like a cookie issue to me. The reason I say that is because you said your restarting your computer is when the problem started. And just restarting your computer shoudn't change your user privs. This may sound dumb but make sure you have cookies enabled.

Also if you use a prg like "Tracks eraser" that runs continuously in the background, you might want to disable that feature.

Martin great point cookies never even occured to me.

This is what Nukers call the dreaded ADMIN loop and generally it happens more often on Nuke sites that are setup on a local PC running PHP and Apache and MySQL.

More than lilely, some setting in php.ini or other got reset or isn't holding when you reboot and Apache and php restart.

Definately check the cookie thing. Clear all your cookies and close all browsers. Then try again.
