Installed phpBB2 Mod for phpnuke but i dont seem to be ... - 03-07-2003, 03:57 AM

Installed phpBB2 Mod for phpnuke but i dont seem to be able to administer the phpBB.

Everything worked nice but when i through the administration to add Forums it says that i have no rights to administer this board.

For me it seems like there is a distinction between phpnuke admin and phpBB admin user.

any tips or workarounds ?

phpbb port administration - 03-07-2003, 04:51 AM

Hi,
I faced the same problem.Actually when you logon to Nuke it does not log you on into the Forum(Phpbb) part.At the time of installation select any user to administer the Forum.Log on with that credentials and you would be able to administer the board.

It worked for me..Hope it works for you too.....

Cheers..

You have two Admins now. One for PHP-Nuke (Your SuperUser), and one for PHPBB Forums, the User you specified as the Admin when you installed the Forums.
You must loggin with that Username if you want to access the forum administration.

This has been mentioned many times but still people fail to notice it, if you don't upload all files and folders so that they replace their matching Nuke files and folders, some sections will not work, for instance, if you don`t upload the modules.php file you won`t be able to login to both Nuke & the forum, if you don`t upload the Your Account module, new users will not be able to register and so on.
