Hi, firstly I must say I really love this new theme... It looks great.

Allright, with that said, I've just got a few questions about the pbpbb2port...

1. First out is my smiley problem... I know how to add them and I have done so, but they are not all of them in the size 15x15 pixels so when I add them some of them gets shrunk to 15x15 pixels in the smileytable to the left when you post a message. When you've posted a message, they are in the right size, but not in the table to the left... How can I let them be as big as they are?

2. Also, I've got a problem with the original version of the user-info block that's included in phpnuke, the Private Messages-part of the block doesn't really work... It seems to look for the old private messages module and I wonder how I can make the Read and Unread messages to show the numbers from the private messages module that I'm using (the one that comes with this port of course).

3. How can I change the original setting for the clock? It's on GMT+10 hours or something like that until the users change it themselves. I want it to be at GMT+1 hour, and the users shouldnt be forced to do that setting... Where can I change this? In which file and on which line and from what to what? (And yes, I've already chosen GMT+1 in the administration for the forum, but also for php-nuke.)

1. question: why bother making them larger? just shrink them in PS or something to fit. 15x15 is a perfect size, mainly because it then fits the line size in the message body. i would not change the size requirement.


2. if my PHP knowledge serves me correctly, go into block-User_Info.php in the blocks dir and find the line that shows

Read ::

$result2 = sql_query("select to_userid from $prefix"._priv_msgs." where to_userid='$uid' and read_msg='0'", $dbi);


Unread ::


$result3 = sql_query("select to_userid from $prefix"._priv_msgs." where to_userid='$uid' and read_msg='1'", $dbi);

you should just have to edit the path (mikem/cb correct me if im wrong)


3. im not sure about, i dont use the clock option on nuke.

About the smileys, I can't make them smaller... Then they are totally deformed. Also, about the link, I currently haven't uploaded the site on a server, just running it on my own computer so far...

About your answer at question number 2, what should I change the path to then?

Ok, I looked a bit on it and understood that I should change to bbprivmsgs instead, but I can't find the read and unread parts in the database for this bbprivmsgs, so how should I do to use these functions?

One thing I am learning slowly but surely, is if it ain't broke, don't fix it. When you change the settings for one place on your site, it might (could) mess up something on another place. Then you have to back-track to fix it. Very time consuming.
This morning I downloaded PHP version 4.3 and swaped out the dir for the new one, and the ini file. And guess what, it don't work with php-nuke. It did something weird with my database too :evil: , and I spent 4 hours to fix.
