in 6.0 I changed the max sig length to 5000 chars in the forum prefrences but it still limits the sigs to 255 chars.

Any ideas ? I was thinking possible editing the field in DB itsself to handle more chars, but im not sure if the coding around the sig will allow for more that if its stuck at 255.

In order to increase the level above the 255 max you need to go into your Database.

Find the nuke_users table and then find the user_sig field.

Check the box and then select CHANGE.

In the drop down menu's under Type change from VARCHAR to TEXT.

If you have any numbers listed in Length/Values then delete them. Ensure Attributes is also cleared. Null and Default should both be set to null.
