New members dont get email with activation password

I think I've figured out why I have so many daily visits but hardly any members....

When someone registers a new account, they are suposed to get an email with a password, problem is... they never do.

Any ideas why and how I could rectify this?

Ususally if you Nuke is not sending any email it is because of a server-side issue with your Webhost.
Check with them to see...

I'm not sure that that's the problem.
I am able to send mail through nuke.
I am also able to send the newsletter.
But for some reason, new users don't get their pass through the mail.
Is there anyway of letting them choose their own pass or something?

adn look for their Your Account hack for phpnuke with phpBB. It will give you the Admin th eoption to allow your users to specify a password or not when signing up.

Make sure you backup your files before you apply that hack..oh and your Database. I think it does a DB change.

does nuke need a smtp server software or a pop3 server software or a smtp web host like yahoo.co.uk or a pop3 web host? i don't understand the guide to installing nuke.
