ok, so you havent installed the actual php-nuke program, am i right?

if so, go to http://www.phpnuke.org/modules.php?n...download&cid=1

download php-nuke 6.0

from there, just read the directions. if you do have any more questions, we'll answer any and all that we can so just come back and post here

Wow! We need to start from square 1. Need more info. Nuke works on windows too. Do some research on installation before even developing your questions.

yes yes martin is right, make sure that you read the entire installation guide and any other support for nuke.

you CAN run nuke on windows, but you can also use online hosting. normally to get all of that support you need to pay, but there is an occasional free site that will offer that to you.

i truly suggest that if this is your first ever webpage-making experience, dont use php-nuke. i highly suggest you learn html first, which will get you a basic idea of the web and how it works. try www.webmonkey.com for some tutorials, not only for html but for php, java, etc. (all optional)

The easy way for you to understand this is to have some one install Nuke and phpBB for you and then have you go to your site and forums then pull up your FTP program and start explaning things. That should be last resort though.
-----------------------------------

If you want to install Nuke then try this tutorial. There is a part where he tells you to CHMOD your folders and files. For now just leave that alone, skip it. For some reason I couldn't get it to work when I CHMOD.

Here is the link:
http://www.iawebdesign.com/nuke.html

If you want to install phpBB then follow the direction given. It's very simple if you know basics.

You will need a html editor to edit some fields in the php code so download this free trial of CuteHTML. It numbers each line of code so it makes it a little more easy to work with.

Here is the link:

Before you install these programs you will need to purchase a MySQL database. I suggest you check with your hosting company first as they may have it ready for you to purchase.

I'm very new to all this as well so if you have some questions I'm sure I can relate to them and hopefully help you out as much as I can.

Also I have this and php-nuke 6.0 on my site downloads, first you will need to install php, apache and mysql.
Code:
PHP-Nuke 6.0 database tables installation file
Author=ChatServ
Email=chatserv@nukeresources.com

-----------------------------------------------
Instructions

2)Upload all files included with PHP-Nuke 6.0 to desired directory

2)Upload nukesql.php to nuke's main directory

3)Edit your database info in config.php

4)Point your browser to:
http://your.website.com/nukesql.php

That's all there is to it.
I used appserv which installs everything all at one time. Available at sourceforge.net
