phpbb 2.01 + php-nuke 5.5 - 04-04-2003, 02:49 AM

Hello all,
I just recently got to know php-nuke. I have a site for some time now and I`m using the phpbb 2.01 forum. now I want to install php-nuke and use the current users database I have from phpbb.
I must mention that I`m using php-nuke 5.5, since it is the only version that I found that has an hebrew translation (which I need).
both applications are up and running but not connected to each other.
can I do it?

Tnx for any help!

tom's port is only for versions nuke 6.0 and 6.5 . id double check to make sure there wasnt a hebrew translation for 6.0 (im sure there is, as i believe ive seen it before) and upgrade to 6.0, then install tom's port at http://bbtonuke.sourceforge.net . also, upgrade your 2.0.1 forums to 0.3 or better yet 0.4 (depending on what mods you have installed). then you can transfer the data from your current phpBB to tom's port once its installed.

I looked anywhere but no hebrew translation to any version but 5.5 was found.
anyway, I used the files from the 5.5 version to create some form of translation to 6.5 but since it`s a RTL language I still have lot`s of problems with that.

BUT MY MAIN PROBLEM IS:

I decided to install the phpnuke 6.5 in a fresh install in a testing enviorment and install went fine. then I tried to restore my database from my phpbb 2.01 standalone and got an error.

I looked around and found this util. that will migrate the users, forums, thread and posts (which is all I need) but it also require perl... which my server does not support.

what can I do??

help plz.

Tnx.[/i]

Well, after a lot of search, and at least a dozen of hours spent, I have managed to get my phpbb 2.04 standalone (upgraded from 2.01) to be imported one to one to my php-nuke 6.5 portal.
tnx renegade for the direction.
