Polls / Surveys
Its my understanding that each registered user should only be able to vote in a poll / survey once. Is this correct ?

If so, Is there a setting that must be active or selected ? Because my site is allowing registered users to vote more than 1 time..

Any Ideas ?

it'd involve some recoding and a database change. You'd have to add a userid field to the votes table, and make the survey voting bit search for the userid in that table, and if it is there, then not register the vote.
That's from AI over at nukecops. It's a long ongiong glitch that has never been fixed in Nuke. I for one, as I'm sure you agree, wish this little problem would have been fixed by now...

Good question. I'll test it on my 6.5B7 testsite and see if it's fixed. I don't think it is though.
If it's not, I'm gonna push for it to be fixed before FB releases 6.5. Hate to see another version go by with this still being a problem.

Well, I just tested it on Nuke6.5Beta8 and it seems to be fixed.(sort of)

The only thing I can figure out on it, is that it remembers you by your IP address. So if you have users that are on dial up or NOT on a Static IP like I am, then they can simply disconnect from the Internet and then each time they reconnect, they are on a different IP and can then vote again.
I tried to Vote as a Anonymous, it let me. I then logged in and tried to Vote, would not let me. I logged out, closed my browser, cleared my cookies and tried to vote again...would not let me. Logged back in again, tried to vote, again, would not let me...It seems to only be letting me vote once...

I found this on a different site and it works

By default the Survey comes set to 30 minutes between votes, to change this open modules/Surveys/index.php and search for:

$past = time()-1800;

*note*1800 (seconds) is equal to 30 mins. So what I did on my site is:

$past = time()-540000;

which is equal to 9000 minutes or 22,500 days (I highly doubt your poll will run that long

dont thing his figures are quite right but it is longer then most polls go
