What version of PHP-Nuke?

Any version OLDER than 6.0 and you have to CHMOD your CONFIG.PHP file 666 in order to make any Perference changes.(sucks)

With Nuke 6.0 you do not have to CHMOD the config.php file 666. It writes the preferences to the databse in Nuke6.0 not the config file like it did in earlier versions.

Not sure why you cannot change preferences. Have you changed to a NON-Default Nuke theme?
That may be the problem. IF the theme is not specified for Nuke 6.0 then form type submission links can malfunction. Can you change anything else, LIke Vote on a survey, or do anything else that requires clikcing a SUBMIT button?

ok I found the necessary information to fix the problem ANYONE is having saving their Nuke Preferences after a fresh install.

Clear all the info in fotter 1, 2, 3. Then try to save the preferences. For some reason it is having a problem with the single quotes(hyphens) in those footer lines.

That should do the trick.

Yup, there is a bug in the nuke.sql packaged with Nuke 6. Kind of suprised it hasn't been fixed, though many people clear the footer lines when setting up their site.

I think the nuke.sql error has been fixed, but I dont' think FB has incorporated it into hos download. :?

Yeah I still have the orginal error in my DB on all my sites. Don't know how to get rid of it other than re-running the fixed nuke.sql script. bah.
