Question to nukemods webmaster or somebody that can help me. - 02-24-2003, 12:09 PM

Hi all.

Lets see...I am using phpbb 2.0.3 in my web site and want to use phpnuke too but i dont like the phpnuke default news module. I want that it works like here, in nukemods.com. I want that the first post of one forum thread appears in the index of the web and the users comments are the replys to that thread. How can i do that?

May be with BBmodule or PHP-Nuke Port or phpBB2 Port? If not, what that do?

Thanks a lot for help me.

You would first need to have Nuke installed. Then you would need to install the phpBB port from Tom's

Then you would need to use the phpBB fetch all News Mod over at

This hack allows you to display data from the phpBB forum on any page of your website. It uses phpBB to connect to the forum database and should therefore work if phpBB works.
You can integrate the hack into any (non phpBB) page of your homepage using your layout and design. You can also use phpBB templates and make the script become a part of your forum.

so if you know enough about html and php, you dont really need tom's port (althought a good idea). you can just replace the nuke news with the fetch all code and edit it to connect to a phpBB database outside of nuke.

Thanks m8s.

So i dont need tom's port? Ok, but, what tom's port do?

And, if i "can integrate the hack into any (non phpBB) page of my homepage", i can use fetch without phpnuke or with other CMS if i want, isnit?

The links that I gave are for the stand-alone forum like you have. What Mikem was refering to is for the ported to php-nuke forums (that is what this forum is, Tom's port). You're looking at what Toms Port does right now.
