Story Block Size - 03-01-2003, 06:55 PM

Some of us old guys use 600x800 screen resolution so we can see the print without getting a headache. In all the themes from nukemods the center stories block causes the width to run off the screen about 50px (if it's theme related at all). Is there a way to make them self adjust to the size available between the side blocks like messages do on the front page?

After experimenting a little, it seems to be the inability of the two lines in the footer of the block to wrap. What file are these things located in to prehaps change a few things like instead of Posted by to maybe just By: or something like that. Maybe remove # reads or score. Or, even make the lines of text wrap.

Just looking for suggestions.

files to look at
themes/YourTheme/story_home.html <= Main page html
themes/YourTheme/story_page.html <= Page when readmore link is clicked

They are basic HTML. You can play around with them and mayeb come up with something...

Thanks, just finding where things are sometimes is half the battle.

All I had to do was add a class to the css and put it in the footer with arial instead of verdana which in a much wider font.

Looks and works great for me.
