i use the fisubsilver theme (great theme ) and have phpbb2 installed.
when i go 2 submit sumthing, such as entries for a new survey, it cuts off the first 5 or so characters that i enter...
help! how do i fix this?

Are you talking about the Nuke survey, or a poll in the forum? I tested the Nuke survey earlier today and didn't see any problems. Do you have a link so I can see the problem?

i was talkin bout the nuke survey, its only been doin this since i installed phpbb. it also cuts the 1st 5 characters when i insert the subject in a forum post and the subject when creating a new forum or category. :?

Look at the test survey i made in then lop right hand corner.
has a few meaningless words, u can c how the beginnings are cutt off.

I can't reproduce this at all. If you make me a temp admin account at your site I can try to figure it out.

I couldn't reproduce it on your site either, you can see the poll I created. If it happens again, let me know the steps you took that led to the problem.

although it displayed in the survey block as:

then when i made no changes in the edit poll menu, but saved it, it changed in ths survey block to:

which is what happens when i make any other poll.....
i dunno if its just my computer thats (somehow?!) doing this.

is there any special whay to make polls?
i just write eg:

one
one two
one two three

etc.

im beginning to think it make me me doin the wrong thing...
ive made other admin accounts and tryed makeing surveys from em, ive deleted my cookies and temp. internet files, ive even reuploaded the modules and blocks for the survey.

title and 1st option work, but all the others dont :cry:

ive deleted and reinstalled all my databases, uploaded all the nuke files again, and changed no settings, but it STILL cutts off text in the polls! :x

this isnt really your field i dont think, because its obviously not the forum or its themes that affect this (i havent installed them since i reinstalled my site).

im left with one conclusion: im doing somthing wrong.
is there a character ure supposed 2 input before you put in your poll entries??

eg. 1 %Pirates

or maybe some HTML?

You're not bothering me.

You shouldn't need to do anything special to enter text in the polls. It's very strange that it worked the first time I tried it on your site, but didn't after that. I was hoping someone else might have some suggestions, since I really don't know whats causing it. I'll keep checking around.
