I'm not sure if this has been asked or covered on these forums, but I've come across something on my site (new to me) that I cant figure out whats wrong. When ppl submit news/topic post on the main page of my site, for some reason they cant post a URL link, as "" tags dont seem to work. once the post is submitted the url is there but with no highlighting link and looks just like normal text.

Is this a bug thats easily fixed or is there something I've done wrong within the setup of my site?

I noticed the same thing with posting descriptions in downloads. If I type a url in the description, the link is not active. I dont know how to make it so.

The [url] tags only work in the forum because that is bb code. Try <a href="http:// (html) and see if it works.

Martin is right, you have to use the html tags for things like that.

I installed a wysiwyg editor to make it easier for my users, it works in weblinks and the like as well.
