Why I'm Being Called 'Anonymous'? - 06-19-2003, 03:57 PM

Please help me.
When I post on my new phpbb forum module, everytime I post something, it says 'Posted by Anonymous'.
Yet when it shows 'Users Online'... It shows my actual Username.
It's really weird, can anyone shed some light on this for me please?

Thanks very much!

Are you signed in as a regular user or as admin? If you are signed in as admin of nuke, but not as a regular user, it will give you anonymous for a user name.

Are you still using nuke 6.0 with bbtonuke 2.0.6? Or Nuke and a stand alone vs of phpbb? Did you recently try to add something like a jr admin cp or some other mod to the board?

There are security holes in those versions.
It is recommended you upgrade or AT least apply the sec fix for your versions found here

Make sure ALSO that you are using ALL the files that came with the phpBB port. Overwriting your existing ones. You WILL have loggin issues if you don't use the mainfile.php and Your Account module that came with the phpBB port.

Okay, I did what you said Mikem, plus I downloaded and overwrote the files that came in the security fix you gave me..

Just now, when I click forums, I get the following error:
Quote:
phpBB : Critical Error

Could not get theme data for themes_id [7]
Damn, now what isit?

Thanks so much!

Check what the default theme is set to right now. If you don't have that theme installed you'll have a problem.
