Why won't my theme change after I select it in preferences?
Hey guys,

I am trying to change my theme. I looked in my themes folder and I have like 10 themes. When I go to my administration menu and select preferences, then change the theme to anagram--nothing happens. So what am I doing wrong? My current theme is DeepBlue and it doesn't change to anything else. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

sometimes this happens to me, the FORUM theme kinda takes over, try getting a theme that is for both the FORUM and PHPNUKE then goto theme manager in forum, install the new theme, then select it, then goto preferences and change the theme there..... See if that helps..

If you are using nuke 6.0 deleting everything in the footer boxes in the admin panel sorts out the saving prob.

Also xvertirx are you also logged in as a user if so you'll need to change your theme via your account.

The footer lines actually should not be deleted for copyright reasons I guess.
Here is a fix for the Admin preferences not saving.
[here]

alternate method
Copy footer 1 and footer 3 to a text file for later use
Delete footer 1 and footer 3, then save
Replace all single quotes in footer 1 text with double quotes and put back in footer 1, then save
Replace all single quotes in footer 3 text with double quotes and put back in footer 3, then save

I believe the copyright line stays intact even if you empty all 3 footer boxes, the copyright is in the 4th.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. I am still having problems though. Here's what I have done: I uploaded the fixfoot.php (footer fix) file to my html folder on my server. I pointed my browser to www.stolenfreedom.com/fixfoot.php and I got a message that said the footer fix was applied. So then I log in as the administrator and I change my theme in preferences to Anagram. I refresh my homepage and it is still the deepblue theme. I changed ot to Milo theme and it still looks like DeepBlue. So what do I do now? Should I erase the footers? :?:
